Ingredients Notes
Ingredients:
- Water: this will need to be microwaved until it is boiling.
- Jello mix: Sugar free peach Jell-o mix that you will find in the baking aisle. You can also use regular peach jello mix as well.
- Yogurt: Use your favorite brand of yogurt when buying containers of peach yogurt.
- Cool Whip: In the freezer section get a fat-free tub of Cool Whip and then thaw to room temperature for easy use.
- Crust: Also found in the baking aisle you will keep it simple and use a premade graham cracker crust. I love the Keebler one.
How to make Creamy Peach Pie
- Heat water. In a microwave-safe measuring cup or small bowl, heat water for 45-90 seconds or until boiling.
- Whisk. Whisk in Jell-o until dissolved.
- Mix filling. In a large bowl, whisk together Jell-o mixture and yogurt.
- Gently Fold. Fold in whipped topping. Carefully spread in crust.
- Store pie. Refrigerate at least 4 hours or until set.
- Serve. Garnish as desired – I topped mine with frozen peaches and whipped cream. Store in refrigerator.
Storing and other tips for this cream pie recipe
Fridge: Store any leftover of this peach pie in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4-5 days.
Freezer: You can freeze this pie whole or in slices depending on if you think you will serve it all at once or want to be able to enjoy a slice of the best peach pie whenever the mood strikes. To store in slices, cut it up, freeze for 2-4 hours, and then wrap each piece individually in plastic wrap and then store again in an airtight container for up to 3 months.
Jello temperature:
Make sure to allow the peach jello to cool before folding it into the creamy mixture. If not, you may accidentally have a more soupy filling and you might have a hard time getting it to set up properly.
While using sweet peaches is super tempting, you will not need them when making up this no-bake dessert recipe. When you add in ripe peaches it will add a lot of liquid to the pie making it not set up properly or making the bottom crust a bit soggy.
However, you can always add fresh sliced peaches to this easy dessert recipe when serving the peach pie. You can also use canned peaches to top the pie, but be sure to drain the peaches of the liquid first.
No! When you combine the pudding mix with the cool whip, you will have an already creamy mixture that you don’t need to add any cream cheese to the mixture for this easy recipe.
Yes! Instead of serving this in a premade pie crust, you can always make up your own homemade graham cracker crust in a separate bowl, pressing it into a 9×9 dish, and then making the rest of the recipe as is to finish making peach pie bars
