I love a good wrap for lunch. One of my most favorite things on my wrap is Hummus. My most favorite hummus is called Roasted Red Pepper by Sabra.
It is so delicious!!! You will be pleasantly surprised with how good it really is. It comes together in a matter of minutes, and is full of amazing flavor.
I am always looking for simple and delicious meals that I know my family will love, and this one passed with flying colors.
Everyone in my family loved this recipe, and is always asking me to make it. I’m not mad, because the wraps are so easy to make, and taste amazing.
They are also very inexpensive, so this is a great budget friendly meal.
What toppings would be good on this wrap?
I am a huge topping person. Especially if I can sneak vegetables into my diet, without eating them plain, I am one happy girl. Here are a few of my favorite additions to these wraps
-Lettuce
-Spinach
-Sprouts
-Cucumber Slices (sliced very thin)
-Carrot Shreds
-Celery (sliced very thin)
-Olive Slices
-Tomato
-Banana Peppers
-Avocado
-Jalapeno Slices (without the seeds)
-Plain Greek Yogurt
You could really add any of your favorite veggies, and it would be delicious.
What meat would be good with this?
I am a huge meat eater. So if I can add meat to it, I usually do. Like I said, this recipe doesn’t really need meat. It has a ton of protein and flavor to it, as is, but if you are looking to add meat, here is what I recommend:
-Ground Beef (seasoned with Taco Seasoning)
-Sandwich meat of any kind
-Shredded Chicken (love using rotisserie chicken)
-Grilled Chicken
-Ground Turkey (seasoned with Taco Seasoning)
-Steak
What tortilla is best?
We recommend using whole wheat tortillas for this recipe, for the health benefits. My kids have grown up with whole wheat, and prefer it over white flour based foods now.
We also like the spinach wraps, that are green tortillas, because my kids think they are cool. Really any tortilla would work for this recipe, but for nutrition benefits, we recommend whole wheat tortillas.
