   We love white elephants! I grew up thinking they were always supposed to be gag gifts and when I went to college and we had a white elephant, everyone was put off by my goofy gift since they'd gone out and bought nice soaps and things. Boo. We have friends who do a fun white elephant party every year and I'm on the lookout all year for funny gift ideas. This post is hilarious!

   We passed around a jar of pickled pigs feet for a few years at our family white elephant. Another good gift was a $5 gift card to the local thrift store. I love most of these ideas, however, the PooPourri really works and is kind of expensive for a white elephant gift.
