Oh, family dinner. It’s a love hate relationship, I have. I always have visions of it being such a big success- we all sit around the table, enjoying each others company, talking about our day, but with a 6 year old, a 4 year old, and a 1 year old, it usually ends up being quite the opposite.
Anyone else feel this way? At least this pasta recipe was a hit. It was so quick to throw together and everyone ate it without any tears, or time out timers.
If you need a quick and simple recipe, this is one we highly recommend.
It only requires a few simple ingredients, and is so yummy. Just throw it together on a busy night, and dinner is served. Now if I could only make it a peaceful dinner, without anyone spilling or making a mess.
Sneak in extra veggies:
The thing I love about this recipe, is it is so easy to sneak in some extra veggies. I usually like to throw in some carrots, broccoli, cucumbers, celery, or really anything in my produce drawer, that needs to be used.
It all tastes amazing with the chicken, pasta, and sauce, and it comes together quick. If you need a quick and simple dinner, this is one I highly recommend making.
Would any noodle work?
For this recipe, I used bow tie pasta. However, you don’t have to use bow tie pasta. I just prefer it, because the noodles are easier to stab, and it’s perfect for little fingers.
Really any noodles or pasta you have on hand, will work for this recipe.
I have also made it using spaghetti noodles, as well as shell and penne pasta, and they both tasted the same, and just as delicious.
I have also made this with whole wheat noodles and it was very tasty and a healthier alternative as well.
