We are leaving for a cruise in just over a week. After surviving a few weeks of below-freezing weather, I can just hear the sunshine calling my name.
All of us have been trying to eat healthy before we go on a week-long swimsuit-baring vacation – and it hasn’t been as bad as I thought it would be! Minus my cravings for all things sweet.
This raspberry sorbet has been my lifeline. It has a LOT less calories than your average ice cream, but it is still sweet, cold, and satisfying.
Plus – did I mention there’s no need for an ice cream maker? Or a big, powerful blender. It’s seriously SO easy to make, and is definitely a family favorite at our house.
what other flavors could I make this recipe with?
This recipe is so fun, because you can make it with literally any flavor you desire. Here are a few of my favorite:
-Orange
-Raspberry
-Strawberry
-Lemon and Lime
-Grape
-Cherry
-Pineapple
We recommend finding Jell-O and concentrate that would mix well, or relate with the fruit of your choice.
how long does this last in the freezer?
I love this dessert, because it freezes and lasts extremely well in the freezer. This is a great recipe, to make ahead of time.
It lasts for about 1-2 weeks in the freezer. This is a great recipe to meal prep, for when those sugar cravings come up throughout the week.
It only takes a few minutes to make. If it is too hard or frozen to scoop, we recommend letting it sit out for about 4 minutes, then scooping it.
We don’t recommend microwaving it.
