Ingredient Notes
- 3 pounds boneless pork sirloin roast
- 5 cans diced green chilies (4 ounces each; 20 ounces total)
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 3 teaspoons ground cumin
- 12 flour tortillas or corn tortillas
- favorite taco toppings (shredded lettuce, cotija cheese, pico de gallo, guacamole, salsa, red onion, cilantro, shredded cheese, etc)
How to make Slow Cooker Green Chile Pork Tacos
- Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
- Place roast in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a mixing bowl, mix together chilies, taco seasoning, and cumin. Spoon green chile mixture over pork.
- Place lid on the slow cooker and cook on LOW heat for 8-10 hours.
- Shred or slice Pork roast. It should fall apart pretty easily and serve on top of tortillas with your favorite toppings.
Storing and Other Tips
Refrigerator: Store green chili in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
You could also use this meat to make burritos or enchiladas.
