I’ve never been a big fan of gluten free things… until I gained a gluten free roommate.
Now I’m always snacking on gluten free crackers, bread, and experimenting with gluten free desserts just because I like the taste.
We decided to try these gluten free brownies and just couldn’t resist plopping some delicious ice cream on top.
If you’ve never had gluten free brownies before just be prepared for a very different and rich taste that’s absolutely delicious.
Some desserts can be a little dry, when making gluten free snacks, but these brownies are nothing close to that. They are moist and gooey, and oozing with chocolate. You will love these Gluten Free Brownie Sundaes.
could I use a nut butter substitute for the peanut butter?
This recipe calls for peanut butter, but you could easily replace it with a nut butter, substitute. Here are a few of our recommendations:
- cashew butter
- almond butter
- sunflower seed butter
These three would probably work the best for this recipe. You could also use peanut butter powder, if you are looking to save a little fat and calories.
I usually mix mine with a little water and honey.
what could i use instead of black beans?
I know what you are thinking. Black beans in brownies? No joke, I promise you won’t even be able to taste them. They take on the cocoa taste, that you won’t even notice the black beans.
However, if you are looking for a replacement, two avocados would work just as well. I know I know, it may seem just as crazy, but it really is so delicious, and makes the brownies so moist (and gluten free!).
