This might sound crazy to some of you, but I have never really been a fan of Oreos. My husband and kids absolutely love them but I would rather have a brownie or a bowl of ice cream any day.
That was, until I made these cookies. Oh. My. Goodness. They were so delicious that they have made an Oreo lover out of me. Seriously, give them a whirl. I know you have some Oreos in your pantry.
These will blow your mind. They take Oreos to a whole other level, and you are not going to be disappointed.
Do these cookies freeze well?
I have a strange obsession with frozen cookies. I usually don’t have any leftover to freeze, because I love eating cookies as soon as they come out of the oven (I even take the risk of getting a burnt tongue from the melted chocolate), but frozen cookies are so yummy.
These cookies freeze extremely well. You can eat them slightly frozen, or freeze them or up to a month.
When freezing them, we recommend either wrapping them in a layer of saran wrap, then a layer of aluminum foil, or placing them in an airtight container.
To thaw them, you can microwave them, but I usually take mine out of the freezer, 24 hours before serving them, and they are perfect and chewy.
Our favorite chocolate chips:
I am a huge chocolate chip fan, but for these cookies, I recommend using milk chocolate chips. I love all chocolate chips, but I think these cookies taste best with the milk chocolate chips.
You could also use white chocolate chips, or really any kind of chocolate chip. These would even be delicious with peanut butter chips, if you like the sweet and savory flavor combo.

This Homemade Pizzookie Cookie is my new favorite thing. It is so simple to make and tastes absolutely amazing. The best part is when it comes out of the oven, and you put that scoop of ice cream on top, and take the first bite. I think it’s what heaven tastes like. Watch how easy it is to make, here:
