During the summer we spend a lot of time outside, so making this grilled Hawaiian pineapple pork chop recipe works perfect for us. Especially since you can make the best pork chop recipe with just 5 ingredients. What isn’t to love about that?!
Pantry items will work perfectly with this pork chops with pineapple and brown sugar recipe. Just be sure to have a can of sliced pineapple and fresh pork chops and you will be good to go as the other ingredients are super common to have in your fridge or pantry.
I enjoy serving this pineapple pork chops on a warm summer day. I don’t know if it is the pineapple flavor, or the fact that it grills up perfectly, but this recipe just screams summer.
Since this is a pineapple flavored pork dish I love to serve it with our mangoberry salad or pineapple mango salsa with tortilla chips or naan bread. And then end dinner with a light and airy dessert like our 5 minute fluffy yogurt fruit salad!
Ingredients You Need to For Our Grilled Hawaiian Pineapple Pork Chops Recipe:
- Pork chops
- Salt
- Pepper
- Liquid smoke
- Dijon mustard
- Honey
- Minced garlic
How To Make Our Grilled Hawaiian Pineapple Pork Chops Recipe:
To make this recipe begin by mixing together the pineapple juice from the can of sliced pineapples, with the brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder.
Once it is all mixed together pour it into a gallon-sized resealable bag. Give the bag a good shake to make sure the sugar is fully dissolved.
Then add the pork chops to the gallon-sized bag with the pineapple marinade and close it up.
Place the bag in the fridge and let the pork chops marinate in the fridge for at least 8 hours, but 12 hours is best!
When you are ready to cook the pork chops, preheat the grill to medium-high heat and then place the pork chops on the grill once it is hot.
Use a basting brush and brush some of the marinade on the pork chops while they are cooking to allow the flavors to really seal in while you are cooking.
Cook the pork chops on the grill for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the inside of the pork chops are no longer pink. The time will change depending on the thickness of the pork chop.
While the pork chops are cooking, place the slices of pineapple on the grill and let them cook until they are warmed all the way through and they have slight char marks on them.
Then remove both the pork chops and the pineapple slices when they are done, and serve the pork chops with the grilled pineapple on top.

Grilled Hawaiian Pineapple Pork Chops Recipe
Ingredients
- 20 ounces sliced pineapple, 1 can, reserve juice
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup soy sauce
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 6 pork chops
Instructions
- Mix together the pineapple juice (reserved from the can of pineapple slices), brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic powder together in a gallon-sized resealable plastic bag until all the sugar is dissolved. Add the pork chops and zip closed. Store in the fridge for 8-12 hours (the longer, the better!).
- When ready to cook, preheat grill to medium-high heat. Remove chops from bag and place on grill. Brush pork chops with marinade while they are cooking to let the flavor really soak in.
- Grill until pork chops are browned and no longer pink inside (about 6-8 minutes per side- depending on thickness of chops).
- While chops are cooking, place pineapple rings on grill and cook until they are warmed through and have slight grill marks on them. Serve pork chops with grilled pineapple on top.
