My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Mexico. One of our favorite restaurants had the most AMAZING frozen lemonade.
As soon as I got home, I set out to re-create it because I was craving it already. It is the perfect refreshing drink for summertime.
It is so simple to throw together and perfect for those warm summer days, where nothing seems to cool you down.
I love lemonade, but turn it into a smooth creamy mixture, and you are talking my love language. They also sell a similar concoction at Chick Fil A, so you bet we stop in and get one every once in a while. But, it is cheaper to make yourself, and to your lemon preference.
Do I keep the peel on the lemon?
For this recipe you do keep the peel on the lemon. Just be sure you cut the lemon very thin to help it blend more thoroughly.

How do you know when a lemon is ripe?
Lemons ripen when they are on the tree. If they are picked too soon, you may be out of luck.
When you are shopping for a perfectly ripe lemon at the store, they should be 2-3 inches long and a little bit hard to the touch.
If it is mushy, the lemon has gone bad. It is also okay if the lemon has green edges. It doesn’t exactly mean that it is under ripe.
Ripe lemons have a glossy skin. If they are wrinkled, mushy, or dull in color, they are over ripe and no good.
Do these freeze well?
These are a frozen treat, but we wouldn’t necessarily recommend freezing them. They are best when they are served fresh.
These Frozen Lemonades are extremely simple and take only a few minutes, but refreezing them after making them will make them hard and not creamy.
