One of the things I love about the holidays is that you can get festive just about anything, especially food, enter in our pumpkin-shaped cheeseball recipe. It truly is the cutest cheeseball you ever did see. Not to mention this recipe has the amount of cheese, cream cheese, and spices balanced perfectly to get the best bite every time.
This pumpkin cheeseball recipe is also super simple to make up just make sure you have enough time for it to sit in the fridge to harden up a bit. I like to make it first thing and then go on with any of the other recipe or details for the events I am hosting.

- Salsa
- Nacho cheese tortilla chips

How to Make Our Pumpkin-Shaped Cheeseball
- To make this super cute cheeseball, start by blending together the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, minced onion, and salsa until it is all mixed together.
- Once the cream cheese mixture has been mixed up, scoop the cream cheese onto a large piece of plastic wrap.
- Once all of the cream cheese mixture is added to the wrap bring the all sides together and form the mixture into a 5-inch pumpkin shaped ball.
- After you formed the ball place the wrapped cheese ball into the fridge for at least 2 hours to let it chill. If you want you can even let it sit in the fridge over night.
- When you are ready to serve the cheeseball, remove it from the fridge and roll it into the crushed nacho-flavored tortilla chips, making sure to cover all sides.
- Next place a slice of green bell pepper to form the stem of the pumpkin.
- If you have some string or small rope to create the lines on the ball to make it look even more like a pumpkin use that and press it into the sides of the cheeseball.
- Now just serve it with your favorite cheeseball sides and enjoy!

When you make a cheeseball it will last for about 2 weeks in the fridge or it can last for up to 2 months if it is stored in the freezer. Just make sure to wrap it well and skip the nacho-cheese crackers until you are ready to serve it.
For our pumpkin-shaped cheeseball, you can make it up to a week ahead of time and still have a great appetizer to serve! When you are ready just remove it from the fridge, roll it in the crushed chips, top with the bell pepper, and make the lines of the pumpkin and enjoy!

Pumpkin-Shaped Cheese Ball Recipe
Ingredients
- 16 ounces cream cheese, (room temperature)
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 3 Tablespoons minced onion
- 2 Tablespoons salsa
- 1 cup nacho cheese tortilla chips, (crushed)
- 1 green bell pepper, use stem
Instructions
- Blend together the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, onion, and salsa.
- Scoop onto plastic wrap and use the wrap to form the mixture into a 5-inch pumpkin-shaped ball; chill at least 2 hours (I chilled mine over night). To serve, unwrap, roll in crushed nacho-flavored tortilla chips and press a bell pepper stem into the top.
- To make some pumpkin lines, I used some string, held it at the "pumpkin stem and pressed it into the pumpkin.
