If you have never been to the Polynesian Cultural Center, you need to put it on the bucket list. It is family friendly, fun, easy on the budget, and let’s be real… the food is out of this world. I think I was meant to be Polynesian because I could get used to eating like that everyday. But one of my favorite foods I was able to eat on the trip was the S’mores crepe. You guys… I’m telling you… IT IS AMAZING! All the flavors of a s’more in a soft buttery crepe; there is nothing like it. So we did our best to remake it, and I think we nailed it. If only I could be sitting in Hawaii as I ate it, but I can dream.
S’mores Crepes Recipe from the Polynesian Cultural Center
All the flavors of a s’more in a soft buttery crepe; there is nothing like it.
Serving
Ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup water
- 4 Tablespoons butter, completely melted
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon almond extract
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ¾ cup nutella
Instructions
- Preheat stove top to medium heat.
- Spray pan win non-stick cooking spray. (I used a 9 inch pan)
- In a large bowl, mix eggs, milk, water, butter, sugar and almond extract until fully incorporated and liquid is smooth.
- Slowly add in the flour, little by little, stirring as you go to avoid bumps and to get a thin, creamy mixture.
- Once fully incorporated, pour about 1/4 - 1/3 cup of the batter into a skillet, tilting and circling the pan so the batter is evenly coated on the bottom.
- Let the crepe cook for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until the crepe is slightly golden, but still soft and bendable.
- Before taking it off the skillet, add about 20 mini marshmallows to one side of the crepe so the marshmallows start to melt.
- On the other side, spread about 2 teaspoons of Nutella and about 1 tablespoon of graham cracker crumbs.
- Fold the crepe in half, then in half again so you have a triangle.
- Remove crepe from the heat and drizzle with more Nutella and graham cracker crumbs. Enjoy warm!
