We are so excited to share with you that we’ve partnered with General Mills Cereal to create a delicious Reese’s Puffs Snack Bars an inspired recipe for summer snacking (and if you’ve followed us for a while, you know how much we love our cereal!).
We know life in the summer can get hectic with kids in and out, spending time outdoors and at the pool, camps, and plenty of potluck parties.
It’s easy as parents to feel like the pressure is on to provide snacks that will keep our kids happy AND full, while making sure nutritional content doesn’t fly totally out the window!
I was happily surprised to find that the first ingredient listed on Reese’s Puffs (and all General Mills Big G cereals) is WHOLE GRAIN. In this case, whole grain corn leads the list. Brooklyn kept sneaking the Reese’s Puffs because she loved the taste of them – and with real peanut butter in every bite, I just can’t blame her!
Even though it feels like we are always on the run to the next summer activity, one of our favorite things to do at the beginning of the week is to make a snack we can enjoy all week long – and take it with us wherever we’re headed.
Ingredients needed to make Reese’s Puffs Snack Bars:
This recipe is simple enough that my girls can help me make it! And it only takes 4 ingredients (and you probably already have them in your pantry!).
- 5 cups Reese’s Puffs Cereal
- 1 cup natural peanut butter
- ½ cup honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
How to make Reese’s Puffs Snack Bars:
Pour Reese’s Puffs cereal into a large bowl.
Scoop peanut butter into a small bowl, and microwave for 40 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir in 1/2 cup honey. Microwave for an additional 30 seconds. Remove and stir in vanilla.
Pour peanut butter mixture over the reese’s puffs, and stir until completely coated.
Press mixture into a wax paper-lined baking sheet.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes, or until set up.
Cut into bars and serve immediately.
So whether you’re just packing up Reese’s Puffs plain as a pool snack (no judgments here, that’s how my girls love it!), or whipping up a batch of these delicious snack bars – we hope you have a great summer filled with lots of wonderful memories!
