These easy french dip crescents are a version of your favorite french dip slider – all wrapped up and easily dippable – which makes them a win for little kids, too.
They make a great appetizer, lunch, or dinner. Perfect for tailgating or nights when you don’t have a lot of time.
Ingredient Notes
- Refrigerated Crescent Roll Dough
- Deli Roast Beef, sliced thin – We use deli sliced roast beef in a pinch, but this recipe tastes even better with Sunday dinner pot roast leftovers.
- Provolone Cheese
- Au Just gravy mix
How to make French Dip Crescents
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Unroll crescents onto a large ungreased cookie sheet.
- Place a slice of roast beef and a piece of cheese on each crescent.
- Roll crescents starting from the wide end and ending at the narrow end.
- Bake for 13 to 15 minutes, until crescents are a golden color.
- Prepare the Au Jus gravy as directed on package.
- Serve with Au Jus for dipping.
Storing and Other Variations
Store any leftovers in an airtight container. Keep in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in the oven or Air Fryer.
Other Variations
- Try adding extra veggies like caramelized onions or sautéed green peppers.
- Substitute your favorite cheese (like pepper jack) in place of provolone.
- Add a bit of horseradish inside the crescents (or use it to dip). My kids don’t love this option as much, but I think it’s so tasty with that added kick.
