If you want to cook this recipe in the oven, we would recommend combining the cream cheese, butter, milk, sugar, salt, and pepper, in a saucepan over medium heat until smooth, then stir in the corn until well combined (about 2 minutes). Add this to a lightly coated 9×13 inch baking dish and cook at 375 ℉ for about 15 minutes, until the corn is warmed through and bubbly, then garnish with fresh thyme if desired.

My favorite way to thicken creamed corn is by adding some parmesan cheese or additional cream cheese. It makes it deliciously extra cheesy corn. You could also add all-purpose flour a little bit at a time to the crock pot cream corn, stirring it in until it thickens. Or, if you want to thicken it without adding extra ingredients, you can blend up some of the corn with an immersion blender.
Storage and Reheating Instructions:
Fridge: Once the corn cools to room temperature, place any of the leftovers of the perfect holiday airtight container. Store it for the next day or up to 5 days in the fridge.
Freezer: Once cooled, transfer the corn to an airtight, freezer-safe container. Let is thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating. Please note, as this recipe has quite a bit of dairy, it may separate when frozen.
Reheating: On the stovetop over medium-low heat, gently stir the creamed corn until it is warmed through.
