Baked Apple Cider Donut Holes Recipe
These moist and tasty apple cider donut holes are loaded with apple cider flavor! Great for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1½ teaspoons baking powder
- 1½ teaspoons baking soda
- 1½ teaspoons cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 egg
- 2 Tablespoons butter, melted
- ⅔ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup buttermilk
- 2 Tablespoons applesauce
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- ½ cup apple cider
Cinnamon/Sugar Coating
- 5 Tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 Tablespoon cinnamon
- ½ cup sugar
Instructions
- In a large bowl stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
- In another bowl whisk together the egg, melted butter, and brown sugar. Then add the buttermilk, applesauce, vanilla, and apple cider.
- Add the wet ingredients to the bowl of dry ingredients and whisk together just until combined. Do not overstir.
- Pour the batter into lightly sprayed mini muffin tins. Fill each muffin 3/4 full. Bake for 8 minutes at 350 degrees.
- While the donut holes are baking melt the butter in a microwave safe bowl. In another bowl combine the sugar and cinnamon together.
- When the donut holes come out of the oven dip the top of each donut hole into the melted butter, then dip into the cinnamon/sugar mixture.
