These Baked Ham and Cheese Croissant Sandwiches are SO SIMPLE – all that’s needed are a few ingredients that I usually always have available.
We eat these sandwiches for dinner (I usually serve them with some chips or with some vegetables and dip), but they would also be delicious for breakfast!
Ingredients needed for Baked Ham and Cheese Croissant Sandwiches:
- sliced ham from the deli
- croissants
- sliced cheese (we love cheddar and Swiss cheese)
- cream cheese
- Dijon mustard
That’s it! So easy, right?
How to make these Baked Ham and Cheese Croissant Sandwiches:
- Cover a large baking sheet with aluminum foil. Split your croissants in half and place on the baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, mix together cream cheese and Dijon mustard. Spread some of the cream cheese mixture on one half of each croissant.
- Layer sliced ham and sliced cheese on top of cream cheese mixture.
- Top with the other half of the croissant.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes and serve immediately.

Get My Meal Plans NOW!Why bake these Croissant sandwiches?
You don’t have to bake them if you don’t want to, but if you haven’t tried a baked croissant before . . . you are in for a treat!
The outside of the croissant gets a little crispy and flaky, while the inside stays soft.
The cheese melts and turns all gooey and the cream cheese spread only adds to the deliciousness of this sandwich.
So, I recommend baking these sandwiches . . . you’ll never go back! It really does take these sandwiches to the next level!
Substitutions and tricks for making these sandwiches:
Even if you don’t have croissants, you can still make these sandwiches using hamburger buns, sliced bread, rolls, or even wrap it up in a tortilla!
I have found that the best big croissants are at Costco (I bet that Sam’s Club would have them as well!).
I have also made these sandwiches using mini croissants and served them for brunch – they were a HUGE hit! Plus you can make a huge pan of them in a matter of minutes.
Try different cheeses (Monterrey Jack and Provolone are some of my favorites!) and different kinds of meat (we loved adding turkey to these sandwiches and cooked bacon).
Feel free to assemble the sandwiches in the morning and keep them in the fridge (covered) until you need to bake them – it makes dinner so easy and ready in just a few minutes!
Use leftover ham (like if you make our famous Honey Baked Ham) or sliced deli ham for these sandwiches – they both work great!
If your kids are picky or you don’t like cream cheese, feel free to leave the spread off. They are still delicious!
