I didn’t eat a lot of pasta until I got married. My husband is a HUGE pasta fan (really – I think he would eat at Olive Garden every day if he could).
Since he loves it so much, I have started experimenting with it a little more. There is one thing I have learned: either it turns out REALLY good, or really not so good. Haha.
This one was a HUGE success – and it was SO easy. We now have it for dinner, more than I’d like to admit, but it’s fine. My husband is happy with it, so I think we will keep it around a little longer.
If you need a new dinner idea, this is a recipe I highly recommend.
If you love this cheesy ravioli bake, be sure to try our mom’s chicken divan. it’s a delicious cheesy chicken broccoli casserole the whole family will love!
Sneak in extra veggies:
The thing I love about this recipe, is it’s so easy to sneak in extra vegetables. You could easily throw in spinach, or even more broccoli, peas, carrots, zucchini, celery, squash, etc. It’s so tasty and so easy to disguise veggies in this recipe, if you have picky eaters.
I will usually throw in an extra handful or two of spinach, because as it cooks, it shrinks down a little.
Could I prepare this recipe ahead of time, and bake it later?
For this recipe, I recommend baking it fresh. However, I would say if you prepared it in the morning, then baked it a few hours later, or later that day, it would be just fine.
I would not let it sit in the fridge, without baking it for more than 24 hours, because the noodles will get soft when they are stuffed, it the perfect noodle texture will be lost.
