I have an addiction to the Cosmic Brownie Christmas Trees.
I don’t know what it is about the Christmas Tree ones that are so addicting, but I just can’t get enough of them.
Well, my stash ran out the other day, and decided I would just make my own. However, I cheated and used a box brownie mix, but they still tasted amazing.
This is such a fun and easy recipe to make for the holidays, and I think they tasted even better than the packaged brownies from the store.
My kids also loved making these with me. It was so fun to watch them frost and add their “ornaments” to their own special Christmas Tree Brownies.
HOW TO GET THE MOST BROWNIES
As I am sure you know, I used a cookie cutter, after baking these brownies, to get the Christmas Tree Shape.
I also used a boxed brownies mix to make this recipe. On the box, it explains how long to cook the brownies, depending on the size of pan you use.
I used the biggest pan, to get the most brownies.
If you use a small 9 inch by 9 inch pan, you are only going to be able to get a few Christmas trees out of the batch.
LOOKING FOR A GOOD HOMEMADE BROWNIE RECIPE?
If you don’t want to cut corners, and are looking for a fudgy homemade brownie recipe, we have just the one for you.
This is our grandma’s Fudgy Brownies recipe, and it makes a ton. You bake it in a cookies sheet, so you know you will be getting plenty of Christmas Brownie Tree’s out of it.
It also tastes way better than boxed brownies, but from one busy person to another, ain’t nobody got time for that, especially during the holidays, so I will take the boxed brownies.

- 8 ounces cream cheese, 1 package
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon milk
- 1 Tablespoon butter, at room temperature
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 4 drops green food coloring
- sprinkles
Instructions
- Mix and bake the brownies according to box instructions.
- Once the brownies have completely cooled, cut them into triangles. I used a cookie cutter for this process.
- Place the cut brownies on parchment paper, or cooling rack so they can be easily removed without sticking.
- In a medium sized bowl, beat the butter, cream cheese, vanilla, and milk together until smooth.
- Then add the powdered sugar and continue to beat until smooth and creamy.
- Add 4 drops of green food coloring, and continue to mix until the color is fully mixed in.
- Scoop the frosting into a plastic Ziploc bag, and cut a small hole in the corner.
