You can keep this low carb side dish recipe on hand when you want to feel like you’re eating golden brown french fries but with even more delicious Italian seasoning and ranch dressing flavors if you wish.
We even serve these with our favorite dipping sauce, creamy homemade BBQ sauce. But, you can also serve it with your favorite marinara sauce or garlic aioli too!


Ingredient Notes
To make crispy zucchini fries, you will need the following ingredients:
- Eggs beaten
- Four
- Bread crumbs (regular breadcrumbs, Italian breadcrumbs, or panko will work!)
- Garlic powder
- Grated parmesan cheese
- Salt & black pepper
- Zucchini (cut into skinny sticks)
- BBQ Sauce
- Mayonnaise
Equipment Needed
For this recipe, you only need a few simple kitchen tools. We recommend using the following equipment:
- Sheet Pan (Quarter)
- Parchment Paper
- 3 Shallow Dishes/Bowls
- Mixing Bowl (Small)
- Cutting Board
- Chef Knife


How to Make Crispy Zucchini Fries
- Preheat oven to 425℉ Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray. Set aside.
- In a small bowl, beat egg with a fork until well combined.
- In another bowl, add the flour.
- In a third bowl, fill with bread crumbs. Toss the breadcrumbs with garlic powder and Parmesan cheese, and salt and pepper to taste. Then set aside.
- Dip the zucchini sticks into the flour (shake off the extra flour) then dip it in the beaten egg, and then into the bread crumb mixture. Make sure all sides get coated well. Place the sticks on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake at 425℉ for about 20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- To make the creamy BBQ Sauce, mix BBQ sauce and mayonnaise.
Recipe Notes
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat in the Air Fryer or Oven to make crispy.
- When we make this recipe we tend to use all-purpose flour since that is normally what we have on hand. However, feel free to use what works for your family. Other options include the following: almond flour, oat flour, and gluten-free flour.
