So, I was shopping at Sam’s Club the other day and saw that you could buy pre-made cookie dough of double chocolate chip marshmallow cookies.
It looked absolutely delicious and even though I was totally tempted to just buy that cookie dough in bulk (because yes, 5 pounds of cookie dough is exactly what I need in my life), I figured that I could go home and re-create it (on a little bit smaller scale).
Ta da! The cookies turned out delicious and were exactly what I needed to curb my cookie dough craving (yes, I am totally one of those people who eats raw cookie dough. I am not ashamed).
So, if you don’t feel like making anything from scratch, run to Sam’s Club and you can get the dough or if it’s too cold and snowy to venture out, throw these ingredients together and make your own.
This cookie recipe is so simple and tastes amazing. I promise you won’t regret making these. I also highly recommend dipping them in hot chocolate. Out. of. this. world.
could i use mini marshmallows instead of marshmallow bits?
You could most definitely use mini marshmallows instead of the bits. I have made them with both and here is what I recommend if you use the mini marshmallows:
Because marshmallows grow so rapidly, I recommend cutting them in half, and refrigerating them, just to slow down their growth a little bit.
I then added them to my cookie dough mixture, and rolled my cookie dough into balls, with the marshmallows in them.
I baked them, then removed them from the oven and let them cool. They were just as delicious if not more delicious. I love the burst of the gooey marshmallow in my mouth.
This cookie truly is a combination of hot chocolate and s/mores. Your family and friends are going to love it.
