Ingredients for easy peach cobbler:
For this Instant Pot dump recipe, you will want to make sure that you have everything in the lists below!
- Sliced peaches (fresh or frozen)
- Brown sugar
- Cinnamon
- Water
- Yellow cake mix
- Butter
If you want to make 5 star Instant Pot recipes like this one you will also need:
- Large mixing bowl
- Trivet (THIS one is great and has the rubber handles to help with the heat)
- 7 in cake pan (THIS one is great)
- Aluminum foil
How to make this easy Peach Cobbler recipe in your Instant Pot:
Begin by mixing together the peaches, cinnamon, and brown sugar together in a large mixing bowl until all the peaches are coated.
Then, get out your Instant Pot and place the trivet (your Instant Pot came with one) into the bottom of the Instant Pot and our in the water too.
Next, in an oven-safe dish that can fit in the Instant Pot, like the 7 inch cake pan, pour in all of the peaches.
Now, take the yellow cake mix and sprinkle it over top of the peaches, covering all of the peaches. (This should be the dry mix, do not follow the instructions on the box.)
Grabbing the butter next, slice it into small pieces and lay it over top of the dry cake mix. The butter should cover all of the cake mix.
Simply cover the pan with aluminum foil tightly.
PRO TIP: By covering the pan with foil this will keep your batter from bubbling over and keep excess moisture out!
Now lower the pan into the Instant Pot and put the lid on locking it in place and turning the valve to the “SEALING” position.
Press the “MANUAL” or “PRESSURE COOK” button and set the timer for 15 minutes on high pressure.
After the timer runs out, let the Instant Pot do a natural release for 10 minutes and then turn the valve to “VENTING” to release the remaining pressure from the Instant Pot.
Once the pin drops, carefully remove the lid and the pan from inside the Instant Pot. Practice caution using hot pads or a towel to remove the pan as the side of the inner pot will be hot as well as the pan itself.
Now simply remove the foil from the pan and serve the peach cobbler warm with some tasty vanilla ice cream or freshly whipped cream!

- Place insert into the bottom of the Instant Pot and then place the trivet in the bottom of the insert. Pour the 1 cup of water around the trivet.
- In an oven safe pan that fits in your Instant Pot (I used a deep 7 inch cake pan that fits perfectly in my 6 quart Instant Pot), add in the peaches.
- Sprinkle yellow cake mix over peaches, covering all the peaches (make sure you are using the dry cake mix – don't follow the instructions on the box to make cake batter).
- Sprinkle yellow cake mix over peaches, covering all the peaches (make sure you are using the dry cake mix – don't follow the instructions on the box to make cake batter).
- Slice the butter into small pieces and lay over the cake mix. The entire dry cake mix should be covered in sliced butter.
- Top the pan tightly with a piece of aluminum foil to keep it from bubbling over the edge and keep extra moisture out of your cobbler.
- Set the lid on top of the Instant Pot and turn the valve to SEALING. Press the MANUAL or PRESSURE COOK button and set the timer for 15 minutes on HIGH PRESSURE.
- Once the cobbler is done cooking, let the pressure naturally release for 10 minutes, then move the valve to VENTING to release the remaining pressure.
- Remove the lid and carefully remove the pan from the Instant Pot (you will want to use hot pads because that pan will be hot!).
- Serve with a scoop of ice cream or freshly whipped cream.
