It’s the most wonderful time of the year; PEACH SEASON.
One of my favorite things is a fresh, juicy peach, I truly don’t think there is anything better.
Our parents planted a peach tree a couple of years ago and it’s now producing peaches by the dozens.
Unfortunately, they only stay fresh for a limited amount of time, so we have been eating peaches for every meal, snack, and dessert.
A while ago, we shared a recipe for Bite-Sized Apple Pies and I was thinking that I could easily make it with these peaches.
I didn’t have pie crust, but I had some crescents in my fridge. I love warm peaches in the middle of buttery sweet dough and the crescents were perfect for that.
You can eat these hot out of the oven or let them cool a little bit- either way, I highly recommend serving them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
What other flavors of dumplings could I make?
I have never met a dumpling I didn’t love. If you are looking for more dumpling fillings, here are what I recommend:
-Sausage and White Gravy
-Cherry
-Blackberry
-Strawberry
-Apple
-Raspberry
-Orange Cream
Serve them for breakfast:
I love making these for breakfast in the fall. My kids also love it. Here are a few of my favorite breakfast side dishes to pair them with:
–Scrambled Egg Breakfast Muffins: These are a hit at our house. You can fill them with your favorite toppings, throw them in the oven for a bit, and each one is personalized. They are simple and delicious.
–Sweet Potato Sausage Hash: I love sweet potatoes for breakfast. I like them at all times of day, but they are especially delicious for breakfast. This is one recipe, you are going to die for.
–Aloha Pineapple Smoothie: I am a smoothie lover, and there is no denying that. This smoothie is my personal favorite. It is so sweet and delicious. You will absolutely love it.
–Brown Sugar and Black Pepper Bacon: This recipe is one of a kind, and out of this world good. It is so easy to make, and I have never had bacon that tasted so good.
