Looking to surprise your loved one with a delicious treat? This Homemade Hot fudge will make almost any chocolatey dessert taste AMAZING.
My favorite way to eat it is- bake some brownies and serve them on plates right out of the oven. Place ice cream on it, then top it all off with Homemade Hot Fudge (you are welcome).
I used a larger sauce pan instead of a small sauce pan because it makes A LOT of Hot Fudge.
I placed my hot fudge in 2 Mason Jars.
I froze one Mason Jar to save for later and kept one open to eat for that week.
This fudge is so rich, it doesn’t take much to put you in a hot fudge chocolate coma.
tips for making the perfect homemade hot fudge topping:
-The most important thing in making hot fudge over the stove, is stirring it. Be sure you are constantly stirring your hot fudge, to ensure that it does not burn on the bottom.
-If your hot fudge burns on the bottom, it’s because you weren’t stirring it, or the heat was too high. You can always add heat, but sometimes it’s too late to take it away.
-We recommend stirring it the entire time it is cooking, until it comes to a boil.
-When storing your hot fudge, let it completely cool on the counter, before putting it in the fridge. This is to help make sure that no moisture gets in, and ruins the chocolate, when storing it.
-I put mine in an airtight container or jar, to store, then place it in the fridge.
what can i put this hot fudge on?
The real question is, what CAN’T you put this hot fudge on? I personally like to just go in, with the spoon, straight into the mouth.
Mix it with a small bite of peanut butter and you have yourself a Fudgy Reese’s Cup. They really should invent that.
