Ingredient Notes
- lean ground beef
- garlic
- sesame oil
- brown sugar
- soy sauce
- ground ginger
- salt and pepper
- crushed red pepper flakes
- Rice
- green onions
How to make Korean Beef and Rice
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and brown beef with garlic in the sesame oil.
- Drain most of the fat and add brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger, salt and pepper and red pepper flakes. Simmer for a few minutes to blend the flavors.
- Serve over steamed rice and top with green onions.
Storing and Other Tips
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Tablespoon sesame oil
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
- salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, (more or less depending on how spicy you like it)
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 bunch green onions, diced
