When it comes to holiday parties, they just aren’t complete in our family without a pineapple cheese ball.
This Pineapple Cheese Ball can be thrown together in a matter of minutes and kept in the fridge until your party guests arrive.
It is always the first food gone at our parties and once you taste it, you will know why.
Cheeseball tradition
Our family loves cheese balls. There is just something about dipping crackers and crispy bread into a smooth and creamy dip.
Every year for Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, our mom would make a cheeseball. I don’t know why is was always these holidays (we definitely make them more frequently now), but it was always my favorite part.
I loved watching her make her famous cheese ball recipe. As we got older, she started trying different cheeseball recipes, and this one quickly became our favorite.
We now make it all throughout the year. It’s perfect for summer, but traditional for the holidays as well.
This cheeseball comes together so quickly, and is so easy to make.
Want to know how to make it?
How to make our Pineapple cheeseball:
Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, crushed pineapple, green pepper, green onions and seasoning salt.
I find that the cheese ball is more smooth when I first blend the cream cheese alone, with my hand mixer. Then add the other ingredients.
Step 2: Form into a ball and place on a plate, cover in saran wrap and keep in the fridge for a few hours (or overnight) or until set up.
Step 3: Before serving, roll cheese ball in pecans. Serve with crackers.
If you don’t like pecans, you could also almonds, walnuts, or pistachios.
