You will only need pizza sauce, and all of the toppings you would have used for pizza night, and you will have a new regular dinner rotation addition that is perfect for busy weeknights when you can spend time at the dinner table.
Ingredient Notes:
- Ground Italian sausage
- Onion (diced)
- Green bell pepper (diced)
- Minced garlic
- Sliced fresh mushrooms
- Uncooked elbow macaroni
- Marinara sauce (or spaghetti sauce)
- Water
- Sliced black olives (drained)
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Shredded cheddar cheese
- Slices pepperoni
- Grated Parmesan cheese
How to make Pizza Skillet Pasta:
- Heat oven to 400 degrees.
- In an oven proof skillet brown sausage, onion, green pepper, garlic, and sliced mushrooms over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes or until meat is cooked through; drain excess fat.
- Add in macaroni, marinara sauce, water, and olives and cook for about 15 minutes or until macaroni is soft.
- Top with shredded cheese and pepperoni, and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake in a 400 degree oven for about 15 minutes till cheese melted and bubbly.
Storing and Other Tips:
