Ingredients used to make Slow Cooker Berry Cobbler:
- Unsalted butter (enough to grease the basin of the slow cooker)
- Fresh or frozen berries (I enjoy a mixture of blackberries, juicy blueberries, and raspberries)
- Granulated sugar
- Cornstarch
- Lemon juice
- Salt
- Box coffee cake mix
- Unsalted butter, cubed (not melted butter)
- Ground cinnamon
How to make Slow Cooker Berry Cobbler:
- Add the berries to the bottom of the slow cooker along with the sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and salt. Using a wooden spoon, stir to coat the fresh blueberries or other fresh fruit or frozen fruit.
- Evenly spread the coffee cake mix on top of the fruit and dry ingredients.
- Distribute the cubes of butter evenly over the top of the cake mix and fruit filling.
- On top of the dough, dust the cobbler with cinnamon.
- Cook on high for 3 hours. The topping should be brown and bubbly.
- Not there yet? Give the pie filling for this blackberry cobbler another 30 minutes in the slow cooker.
- Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or homemade whipped cream.
