Now that school is back in session, I’m always trying to come up with new after-school snack ideas.
My kids LOVE popsicles, so I thought I would make a healthier version that I could feel better about.
We’ve made them a few times over the last few weeks and my kids love helping make them…. and eating them, of course.
They only take a few minutes to throw together, and you can easily switch them up and add whatever favorite fruit or toppings you prefer.
They make the best healthy snack or dessert, and it definitely beats this summer heat.
how to sneak in protein:
I love healthy snacks. I have also been trying to get my kids a little more protein in their diets, to help them grow big and strong, and keep them full until dinner.
These are a great snack to sneak some protein into. You could easily mix in a little bit of a protein drink, protein powder, Greek yogurt, or even blend up some vegetables with these and make them “Hulk” popsicles.
They are so easy to make, and healthy, it’s a great snack for kids. They will also love to help make them.
what other fruit would be good with these?
I love making different kind of yogurt pops with my kids. Here are a few of our favorite:
-Peaches and Vanilla Yogurt
-Raspberries and Blueberries with Raspberry Yogurt
-Strawberry Yogurt with Strawberries and Mini Chocolate Chips
-Mangos and Pineapple Bits with Vanilla Yogurt
-Lime Yogurt with Graham Cracker Crumbles and Pineapple Bits
They are fun to get creative with, and try new flavors. Your kids will love this simple, healthy snack.
