How to make fruit pizza with pie filling:
Start by turn on your oven and preheat it to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Now, using your 12-inch pizza pan, spray the pan with nonstick cooking spray to keep the bottom of the cookie from sticking to the pan.
Then, take the tube of refrigerated sugar cookie dough and roll it out onto the pizza baking pan.
Once it is rolled out evenly, place the pizza pan in the oven and set the timer for 10-12 minutes, or until you see the cookie just barely starts to turn golden brown.
After taking the cookie crust out of the oven you will need to let it cool completely before adding the next layers.
In the meantime, in a mixing bowl using a hand mixer, beat together the softened cream cheese, defrosted cool whip, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar. Mix it all until it is completely combined.
Next, spread the cream cheese and sugar mixture evenly over top of the cooled cookie crust.
Now, pour the can of strawberry pie filling on top of the cream cheese layer.
Lastly slice up your fresh strawberries and place them on top of the strawberry pie filling layer and then slice it and serve!
PRO TIP: To store this strawberry fruit pizza cover it in saran wrap and keep it in the refrigerator. You can make this up a day ahead of time or make it the day of!
