As a college student, sometimes finding time for breakfast can be a little bit challenging, especially a healthy breakfast.
I couldn’t choke down just plain orange juice anymore, so I decided I’d mix it up a little bit and add some of my favorite fruit.
A smoothie is much easier to eat on the go than a bowl of cereal. This is the perfect thing to along with a great breakfast, or any meal.
It is so sweet and delicious, I could also eat this for dessert.
If you are looking for a quick, healthy, simple, and delicious breakfast or meal replacement smoothie, I highly recommend this one.
make it a meal:
Sometimes, if I have more time in the morning, I like to make this a part of my meal. Here are a few of my favorite recipes, to pair it with:
–Scrambled Egg Breakfast Muffins: These are a hit at our house. You can fill them with your favorite toppings, throw them in the oven for a bit, and each one is personalized. They are simple and delicious.
–Sweet Potato Sausage Hash: I love sweet potatoes for breakfast. I like them at all times of day, but they are especially delicious for breakfast. This is one recipe, you are going to die for.
–Brown Sugar and Black Pepper Bacon: This recipe is one of a kind, and out of this world good. It is so easy to make, and I have never had bacon that tasted so good.
They are all so easy to make, and make a perfect meal for busy school mornings.
add some protein:
I am also trying to get a little more protein into my diet, which can be hard, because I don’t always have time to be cooking meat, or vegetables, to get my daily protein in.
As a replacement, I like to add a vanilla protein shake or powder to my drink. It adds a creamy flavor, and makes this taste like ice cream. You need to try it.
I also like to add a little Greek yogurt to my smoothies for extra protein. Spinach is also a great option, but on mornings where I need good flavor, I opt for the protein drink or Greek yogurt.
