I’m all about getting dinner on the table using a minimum amount of dishes. Whenever I’m feeling lazy I always turn to my skillet recipes because I know I will only have to clean one pan.
I’ve recently been switching almost all of the ground beef or pork in my recipes to ground turkey, and the results have been tasting amazing. We love the healthy alternative of Lean Ground Turkey that Jennie-O offers.
Ever tried making egg rolls?
I love egg rolls. I probably think about them weekly. I also convince my husband to bring home egg rolls as he comes home from work, time to time.
After some serious cravings for Chinese takeout, I pulled together this Turkey Egg Roll Skillet using a few ingredients I had in my fridge and have made it about 7 times since.
I started by cooking Jennie-O Turkey over medium heat until almost cooked through. I threw in some green onions to finish cooking the turkey.
Then I added some cabbage and carrots, topped with some soy sauce dressing for the perfect combination and flavor of your favorite egg roll in a convenient skillet.
No annoying wrapping and frying, which makes this dish a healthy alternative to your favorite takeout dish.
What could I serve with my egg roll skillet?
Because this dish has so much going on with it, it can be a little difficult to find something to pair it with, however, we have a few ideas for you.
We served ours with some extra soy sauce on the side, and few pot stickers. Take out from home has never been easier.
We also love fruit salad. It goes with just about any meal. If you are looking for a good fruit salad, you have to try our Winter Fruit Salad, or our Greek Yogurt Fruit Salad.
We are also huge fans of Sweet Potato Fries. They go with just about any dish, and are a family favorite. You’ve got to try them.
