While the air fryer is preheating, add the chicken, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano to a mixing bowl. Toss it all together until the chicken is thoroughly coated in olive oil and seasoning.
Place the chicken in the air fryer and cook at 375 degrees F for 7 minutes.
Flip the chicken and cook for an additional 7 minutes.
Check the temperature of the chicken by sticking a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the largest breast. If the temperature reads 165 degrees F, the chicken is done. If it’s not there yet, refer to the next step.
If the chicken has not yet reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees F, air fry it for another 2 minutes and check the temperature again. Repeat (if necessary) until the chicken is cooked through.
Notes
A few options to bump up the flavor for this quick meal:
Add in some onion powder
Use a basic brine ratio with a few tablespoons of salt and water or chicken broth to marinate the chicken in
Spice it up with a few dashes of chili powder
Cajun seasoning in place of the garlic powder and oregano works great
