Ingredients

eggs

beaten

mashed bananas
,
(about 3 to 5 ripe bananas)

cup
sugar
½
cup
unsweetened applesauce
2
cups
whole wheat flour
1½
teaspoons
baking powder
½
teaspoon
baking soda
¼
teaspoon
salt
¼
teaspoon
ground cinnamon
⅛
teaspoon
ground nutmeg

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large mixing bowl combine eggs, mashed banana, sugar, and applesauce.
Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg; mix well.
Pour batter into a greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan and bake for 55 to 60 minutes, until crust is golden brown.
Cut into slices and serve
Notes
Banana bread is best stored covered in plastic wrap or foil. It can sit at
room temperature for 2-3 days, or refrigerated for up to a week
.
